Little, little, little, black dress... or, shirt?

“I love black because it affirms, designs, and styles. A woman in a black dress is a pencil stroke.”

— Yves Saint Laurent

As a stylist, I absolutely love to take chances.

I do not believe in blending in. I can remember almost anyone I have ever met based on their energy, and of course, what they wore. Good and bad.

I promise you, for your next occasion or your next event, you will be remembered… In. This. Dress.

When I saw this piece online, I immediately fell in love. Like with all of my many purchases, I had to have it. The price was great.

However, when it arrived... I had a mini heart attack. I continued to look in the box to see if there was another piece left inside. Maybe I made a mistake and ordered the shirt version of the dress?! No, this IS the dress!

You can see that it is indeed beautiful, and perfect for any occasion (except maybe where church is involved, and any event where you have to move or jump)?

Ok, with all seriousness…it’s so lovely. I am all legs so it looks a lot shorter than it would be on a more petite person. Yes, it will turn heads. Yes, it’s short. But yes, you will be remembered.

This shirt dress can be worn as simply a shirt by pairing with jeans (like I have shown here), or cropped black pants (or any color for that matter). It also looks amazing with a black jumpsuit as a jacket.

All in all, I love it. But it is not for the faint of heart, and it is not the dress you will wear if you are meeting the parents for the first time! I am sure my fiancé is currently saying more curse words seeing this for the second time. It was perfect for NYE, and I will repurpose it for a few more special occasions, I’m sure.
